The concept drawings could be for the movie ‘The Dark Knight’... the car itself could be crafted exclusively for James Bond... the amazing new SLS AMG Mercedes-Benz supercar is set to fly into Garry Crick Prestige - and it’ll undoubtedly fly out again!
There’s the external design – sleek, purist, with jaw-dropping visual impact. The SLS AMG’s unique ‘gullwing’ doors are like nothing else, and provide a fascinating new interpretation of the classic Mercedes sports car. An exciting interplay between concave and convex surfaces, combined with more understated design features, makes the SLS AMG a new benchmark model in 21st century car design.
All of this is formed around a unique body framework – a first in motoring manufacture. Radically, the SLS AMG is the first car launched by Mercedes-Benz and AMG to feature an aluminium chassis and body. This generates significant weight saving compared with traditional steel construction (actually a target DIN unladen weight of 1620kg, without driver) and allows for uncompromisingly dynamic handling.
It was inevitable that Mercedes-Benz would produce such as game-changing car, with motorsport DNA that dates back to the brand’s earliest days. In fact, the first ‘Mercedes’ was a sports car. Built in 1901 by Wilhelm Maybach for race week in Nice, he promptly drove his pioneering car, with its front-mounted engine, to victory. In the decades that followed, Mercedes racing cars achieved success after success.
Flying your own car has never been as easy, or as attractive as with the new Mercedes SLS AMG. It’s the future of premium sports motoring, and Garry Crick Prestige Maroochydore is here to help you launch!
